Personal Offense and Protecting the Accused (Mt 18): Jesus makes it clear that in a situation of perceived offense, the obligation of church members is to proceed in a manner that protects the accused.

The progression, always with the option to “drop it” and always with the desire to “win them,” is:

1. Go in private.
2. Go with one or two.
3. Take it before the church.
4. Let them be.
