Acts 21.13 — “… I am ready not only to be bound, but even to die for the name of the Lord Jesus.”
Again, grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:
“If anyone wishes to come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”
- The American church is totally unprepared for the radical nature of this call — it still believes one can be a “Christian” and refuse to follow him in this sense.
“We are heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ if indeed we suffer with him, so that we may also be glorified with him!”
- Remember, the more painful the suffering, the more permanent the lesson learned — and the true quality of a spiritual life is seen in how one emerges from such adversity.
- God uses all such trials for the advance of the Kingdom as well as for our ultimate good — such trials have been ordained for us before the foundation of the world!
